Green Community Building at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage

The deepest of green building – The Green Community Center will increase Dancing Rabbit’s effectiveness for positive change by offering nonprofit office, a village commons, and a home for our education and outreach activities. It will be certified as LEED Platinum and meet the Living Building Challenge (LBC), serving as a replicable example of what sustainable construction can achieve on a community scale. The Center will also house the national headquarters of the Fellowship for Intentional Community (FIC), which has promoted cooperative living since 1987. This shared infrastructure will support our town’s growth and offer the public a living laboratory in which to learn about a sustainable path.
